Real people.
Verified.
A free way to prove you're a real person, and to know the people you meet online are real too.
A nonprofit fighting AI fraud
AI can fake voices, faces, and even messages from people you know. In 2025, Americans lost over $21 billion to AI scams, according to the FBI's annual report. The line between real and fake is harder to see every month, and until now there hasn't been a good way to check.
RealHumans is a 501(c)(3) charitable foundation. We don't store biometrics. We don't keep copies of your ID. We don't sell your data. We're free to use, and we plan to stay that way.
Three steps. Ten minutes.
Fill out a quick profile
Name, email, location, a photo, and a couple of social profiles. Takes about two minutes.
Pick a time, or get verified by someone you know
If a RealHuman you know sent you their invite link, you'll skip the video call entirely. Just enter the code they text you. Otherwise, choose a five-minute verification slot that works for you. Verifications are done by trusted Guardians.
Meet a verifier and get your link
A quick 5-minute video call with a Guardian. They'll briefly see your ID to confirm it's really you. We never record the call and we never keep a copy of your ID. As soon as you're verified, you'll get a personal Proof of Personhood link you can share anywhere, plus your own invite link to bring in people you know without a video call.
Where you should require RealHuman Proof-of-Personhood:
Marketplaces
Buy and sell with verified people on Marketplace, OfferUp, Craigslist.
Online dating
Verify before you meet for coffee. Stay safer on Tinder, Hinge, Bumble.
Money transfers
Wires, donations, peer-to-peer payments. Verify before you send.
Elder scams
AI-cloned voices of grandkids and emergency calls. Verify before you wire money to a "relative in trouble."
Apartment rentals

Freelance & hiring
Confirm clients and contractors are real before you sign anything.
